Fire Prevention

Hebron Fire Protection District is committed to making sure that all commercial occupancies in the district are safe to work and do business in.  We do this through plan review, pre-occupancy inspections and continued yearly inspections on all businesses in the district.

Inspections:

Plan Review

HFPD works closely with the Boone County Building Department and Boone County Planning Commission to make sure buildings built in the district are constructed to all current codes and regulations.

Pre-Occupancy Inspections

HFPD again works closely with the Boone County Building Department to ensure that all buildings constructed were done so up to current building and fire codes and are safe for occupancy.

Fire Prevention Inspections

HFPD has multiple fire inspectors on each shift that perform yearly fire prevention inspections on all businesses in the district.  These inspections ensure that all current fire codes are being met and that the businesses do not contain any fire or life safety hazards.  The State of Kentucky uses the 2006 version of NFPA 1 and NFPA 101 as the current fire prevention standards.

Pre-Fire Plans:

HFPD keeps a set of pre-fire plans on our apparatus for every business in the district.  These plans contain emergency contact information, building size, utility locations, floor plans, and other vital information needed for fighting a fire in a business.  These plans are readily accessible 24 hours a day 365 days a years to our personnel responding to emergencies in a business.  These plans save time and allow proper strategies to be determined to handle the emergency.
